What Is SEO?
SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is the optimization of a web site in order to rank higher in search results. That way, your site can be one of the first things people see when they enter a certain search term. Let’s say you had a bakery in Los Angeles and you wanted to be one of the top search results when people search “Los Angeles bakery”. You could either hire someone to optimize your site or you could optimize the site yourself to improve your site’s chances of that happening.
SEO is becoming increasingly important as more and more sites go online. If you want to keep your site from getting lost in the crowd, you’re going to want to learn something about the process of Search Engine Optimization. SEO also continues to be a lucrative field to enter if you’re looking for a new job opportunity. Entrepreneur calls it the job creator for 2020 and beyond. Because the internet is constantly growing, the SEO job market continues to grow as well.
So, if you’re looking to improve your business’s position with search engines or you’re looking to start a new career in an exciting tech field, you’ll want to learn all there is to know about SEO. I’ve listed 5 resources below that you can use to get a good base of knowledge going on the topic.
